Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children, the movie that picks up where Final Fantasy VII left off, will be coming to DVD soon! The Japanese release was slated for the end of 2004 which puts the US release sometime in the first quarter of 2005 (which should be soon). The movie takes place two years after Final Fantasy VII, and appears that it will be true to its predecessor.

Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children
Final Fantasy VII - Advent Children, the movie that picks up where Final Fantasy VII left off, will be coming to DVD soon! The Japanese release was slated for the end of 2004 which puts the US release sometime in the first quarter of 2005 (which should be soon). The movie takes place two years after Final Fantasy VII, and appears that it will be true to its predecessor.
Final Fantasy fan favorite characters Cloud Strife, Barett, Tifa, Yuffie, Cid and Sephiroth are back in this hardcore CG film. Trailers can be seen at the official Japanese Advent Children site, and there are a couple here, and here at Game Trailers.com.
For Final Fantasy fans, this should be quite a treat. It's my hope that this movie will not only be a visual treat but also fill the gap between Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within. Advent Children will actually provide a real game tie-in with Final Fantasy VII, where Spirits Within failed to do so.
